That place called 'you'

MELTING IN YOUR EYES, DREAMS THAT GO NOWHERE
reasons to change everything, that heartbreaking despair
and yet I cant change, I am what I am
Isn't it enough for you, that in this moment I care?

words that mean nothing, silences that speak
into the night we go, into a world that soaks..
In quiet pauses, in empty noises, in meaningless memories...
....in endless embraces

dawn is about to break, what do I have to gain
there's warmth in your arms, I don't even know your name
But I do know you,
the color of kohl in your eyes, the scent of henna in your mane

nights end, suns rise,
each night, I see you
I see you in despair, and I see your despair,
the hint of a tear in your eyes,
telling me to change
But what I am to do, I am what I am
Isn't it enough for you, that seasons go by,
I am with you, for you I've cared?

Why should I make memories
for they've always failed me
why should I ask what you are called
and have a name to remember you by

Why should I cherish our talks
Keep them bottled as pickled memories
why should I open a jar and pull out a conversation
and read a chapter to remember you by

Why should I mark my skin
with the softness of your indelible touches
why should I seek to find you
in the sweetness of your intimate kisses

Why should I tell you about myself
Little anecdotes to piece me by
why should you care who I am
Isn't it enough, that I love you in this moment?

A little piece of you I shall always keep
in the deepest part of my soul
Marked by no name, tagged as no memory,
bound to my inner self, linked to my destiny
The place I retreat to when I think of 'you'.

  1. After ages you posted something :)

As usual marvelous. In the midst of living a life whose bits and pieces are copy-paste of what others do and what others did, sometimes we do feel happy in letting go of doing the obvious thing and just live the moment in our own way. Can link the poetry somewhat to a story which you posted @ Techmate.

    P.S. Keep posting :)
