A Beautiful Mind

Background:
Isn't the complexity of the human mind truly fascinating??
A Beautiful Mind

The deep dark alleys of the mind, long and unwinding to the core,
A few i know so well , some , yet to explore,
Beautiful memories of yesterday, are hidden in a shrine,
Yet there are those that hurt, its a bittersweet galore.

There's a search for some answers, yet a few questions arise,
The need to forget some, oh but the urge to know more,
And a few virgin bylanes, a mystery to the core.

A few dark desires, some shine with light divine,
An unending noise in some, a few ring with a melodic chime,
There's a will to succeed, yet the weakness to give in to crime,
There's a belief in eternity, yet the fear of running out of time.

Secrets dwell deep inside, never shall they come to the fore,
A needless hate for some, yet there are those we adore,
A sense of wonder, a moment of fear,
A subconscious smile, a forced tear,
They're all treasured, emotions of every kind,
Its a treachorous place, yet a beautiful mind

  1. I simply loved this one....when I read it first on Techmate but then before I could gather time to put my thoughts in terms of comment, it was away from the main page and it was like Out of sight, out of mind...surely a treachorous place the mind is. We can actually never finish with the unending complexities of human mind or better to say thought process + behaviour. It is really strange how we become game to this play involuntarily.....the best line was:

A needless hate for some, yet there are those we adore,

Seriously, we end up hating people/things for some irrelevant reason and let that hatred grow with us.....on the other hand there are things/people we love or appreciate too much. It is a general case that if we dislike something or someone, they are the ones whom others like...same might be with us...some people might dislike us but there are some who love us...so then is there any real criteria for anyone to be loved or being hated..I guess no..we or better to say that the mind just makes the preference without any reason...Why is it that we are programmed in such a bad manner, I often wonder...

Anyway...at the end of it....lovely poetry as you have pointed out many of the conflicting behaviour of the mind... Well observed (by the mind):)
